Message from the American Chamber of Commerce Of Trinidad and Tobago

The America Chamber of Commerce of Trinidad and Tobago (AmCham) has 297 members companies: 75% of which are Trinidad and Tobago companies and 25% multinationals. AmCham’s membership represents 90% of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in T&T.

AmCham’s vision is to be the preferred private sector business association in Trinidad and Tobago promoting the stimulation of free and fair trade and investment within the Americas and the Caribbean. AmCham contributes and supports the success of its members by promoting a healthy business environment in T&T and by adding value to its member companies. AmCham is able to achieve this by enhancing business competitiveness and forging strong networking links through our close association with the US Embassy and the alliances with the American Chambers of Commerce in Latin America and the Caribbean (AACCLA) and the Chambers of Commerce of the United States of America (COCUSA).

These affiliations, have allowed AmCham to have a voice in Washington where all policy on trade, politics and economics among the Greater Caribbean, the Americas and the US are decreed. Further our partnership with 23 AmChams within the region and our networking at least 3 times a year with our counterparts in Washington D.C., can ensure specified market access, information access and networking opportunities with the decision makers of these countries. AmCham also focuses on the transfer of knowledge by facilitating access to information and leveraging experiences and best practices to raise industry standards and positively impact on national systemic issues.
