The South Trinidad Chamber of Industry and Commerce (STCIC) congratulates Who’s Who on the publication of another edition of this important reference guide. Networking is an important activity for the STCIC, and Who’s Who has assisted us in ensuring we continue to make and maintain contact with the right people. The STCIC continues to focus on its key strategic areas:

• Ensuring sustainable development of the energy sector, advocating and promoting the right policy framework for its continued growth and development
• Promoting development of the energy services sector, in Trinidad and Tobago, the Caribbean and extra-regional export markets, e.g. Africa
• Encouraging companies to develop and implement Corporate Social Responsibility policies and programmes
• Implementing the Safe TO Work in Trinidad & Tobago (STOW-TT) initiative

The STCIC is extremely proud of the fact that STOW won the 2008 National Safety Award and in 2009 was shortlisted as a finalist in the World Chambers Competition for Best Unconventional Project at the 6th World Chambers Congress in Kuala Lumpur.

We continue to pursue our initiatives vigorously and with the confidence that they are contributing to the development of our country and the wider region.
