Message from the Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers’ Association President - Mrs. Karen de Montbrun

The Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers’ Association is pleased to be associated once again with the Who’s Who in Trinidad and Tobago Business magazine.

Trinidad and Tobago’s manufacturing sector continues to grow, and is currently the leader in the Caribbean.

Our manufacturing sector is an important contributor to the national economy, creating jobs and bringing in much needed foreign exchange.

The TTMA celebrates its 51st anniversary this year, and our plans for 2007 include looking at new business opportunities for our members, and generating market expansion.

We plan to work closely with the Government and all stakeholders to foster further growth in the manufacturing sector.

The TTMA will actively seek new investments, technology and innovation, joint ventures and strategic alliances and opportunities for research and development.

In 2007, the TTMA will continue its focus on four strategic areas: Social and Physical Infrastructure, Sustainability and Growth.

The TTMA offers an extensive range of services including market development, lobbying on behalf of members, and educating members about issues and legislation that could impact on their businesses.

In addition, the Association hosts a major in-bound trade promotion event, the Trade and Investment Convention, which is now the region’s biggest business-to-business event.

Trinidad and Tobago’s manufacturing sector must now extend its reach, and seek out opportunities in the global marketplace.  The TTMA promises to do its part in making this goal a reality for our members.
