High hopes for sector taking flight

It seems the sky is the limit for local aviation as the industry's major players remain focused on growth and development.
"We are all excited," said Ramesh Lutchmedial, Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). "We are quite optimistic that the current global situation is only a temporary one and we are forging ahead with our plans to develop the sector in accordance with Government's 20/20 Vision."

The CAA is the body responsible for regulating all civil aviation and providing air navigation services. It works alongside the Airports Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (AATT), which manages Piarco and Crown Point International Airports.
