Celebrating 45 Years of regional excellence and priceless contribution to Trinidad and Tobago's development. PLIPDECO has matured into one of the region's largest gas-based downstream industrial estates, contributing approximately TT $35 billion annually to the national economy. Growing from strength to strength, the 860 hectare estate is home to 103 tenants who manufacture products in global volumes ranging from ammonia, methanol, urea and steel to lighter manufacturing and service industries. The industrial estate provides employment for approximately 12,000 people.
PLIPDECO
also owns and operates one of the main container and general cargo ports in the country. This business has also developed significantly over the years, and now the Port of Point Lisas handles almost half the containers being imported to and exported from Trinidad and Tobago and close to 90% of the break-bulk tonnage.
