Shipping Association of Trinidad and Tobago (SATT)

The Shipping Association of Trinindad and Tobago (SATT) was established in 1938 and represents the interests of key industry stakeholders such as shipping agents, ship owners and/or ship operators, ship brokers, freight forwarders, ports and terminals, and NVOCCs, among others.

Some of the SATT's principal objectives include:

1. Providing a platform for members to discuss key issues affecting the trade/maritime industry and its stakeholders
2. Acting as a lobby and advocate in shipping-related matters
3. Representing members' interests to the industry's regulators such as the Maritime Services Division, Customs and Excise, Immigration and the Port Authority
4. Playing a significant role in facilitating interaction between members and these entities to influence key efficiencies vital to SATT, trade facilitation and industry reform

The Association is committed to strengthening the position of its members in the marketplace, and promoting capacity-building initiatives for the merchant marine industry. SATT will continue to evolve to ensure that it remains relevant to its diverse membership in an ever-challenging environment.
