The Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers’ Association (TTMA) is a non-profit organisation which represents the interests of manufacturers in the country.
Established in 1956 and now more than 300 members strong, the TTMA is the voice for business enterprise, articulating policy, providing quality service and contributing to sustainable economic growth and success.
The TTMA supports four key pillars or strategic areas of focus:
1. Social Infrastructure
This pillar focuses on fostering corporate social responsibility among the membership of the TTMA, education and skills development, as well as tackling issues such as crime.
2. Physical Infrastructure
The physical infrastructure pillar focuses on regulatory reform, and working with the relevant authorities to improve the situation at the nation's ports.
3. Sustainability
This pillar deals with issues such as inputs to manufacturing, procurement, and impediments to trade, as well as labour issues and legislation that could impact on manufacturers.
4. Growth
The growth pillar deals with market and business development, trade support and trade agreements. Focus is also placed on environmental issues such as recycling and promoting “green” industries.
