
The Trinidad and Tobago Institute of Architects (TTIA) is a non-profit organisation that promotes the art and science of architecture.
The TTIA is governed by the Architecture Profession Act, 1992 which is an Act respecting the registration of architects and otherwise regulating the practice of architecture. To date the TTIA has 84 full members who are qualified architects and nationals of Caricom. The TTIA is a member of the International Union of Architects (UIA) and the Commonwealth Association of Architects (CAA) and its related bodies.
Core Objectives
• To advance the art and profession of architecture not without its essential role in the built environment.
• To consider and safeguard matters of professional practice.
• To promote and afford facilities for the study of architecture and in so doing, the advancement of knowledge and capabilities of its members and others through its Continuing Professional Development (CPD) services.
• To function in tandem with proven and continuously advancing technologies, world and regional policies and global developments.
• To serve as a medium of friendly communication between members and others interested in the
progress of architecture and its practice.
