The Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce celebrated its 132nd year of distinguished service to the business community in 2011. Since 14 March 1879, we have generated opportunities for our members to leverage shared resources and knowledge, and establish key contacts in order to create a competitive advantage in the global marketplace.
Our mission is "to seek the interests of our members and the wider business community by forging a sustainable framework for successful business through effective advocacy, representation, facilitation and enablement of legitimate and responsible enterprise".
The Chamber has over 600 members and 1,600 representatives spanning the services, manufacturing and distribution sectors. We have alliances with the International Chamber of Commerce, International Trade Negotiations Unit and Dispute Resolutions Centre.
The Chamber offers an extensive portfolio of services to assist members in developing their companies by promoting trade facilitation/missions, research and information, mediation/arbitration, business referrals, conference/meeting facilities, workshops, seminars and electronic newsletters. We reach the public through our CONTACT magazine, weekly radio programme CONTACT with the Chamber, and weekly publications in the three daily newspapers.
