College of Science Technology and Applied Arts of Trinidad and Tobago (COSTAATT)
Since its establishment in 2000, the College of Science, Technology and Applied Arts of Trinidad and Tobago (COSTAATT), has distinguished itself in the tertiary education landscape as a progressive, relevant and innovative institution, maintaining high standards of academic excellence, and offering a wide range of specialized, technical and academic programmes at degree, diploma and certificate levels.
As the College celebrates its tenth anniversary, it has also created history by becoming the first institution in Trinidad and Tobago to be granted accredited status with the Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago (ACTT), and moreover, for the maximum period of seven (7) years. In less than a decade, COSTAATT, through its pioneering initiatives in curriculum design and delivery, as well as its commitment to the traditionally underserved, has led the way in the transformation and diversification of the national tertiary education sector.
Additionally, over the last five years the College has experienced significant growth in terms of student enrollment, programme expansion, and the provision of educational services. Increasingly viewed as a first option to prospective students, the College has a current enrollment of more than 9,600 students, with existing campuses and learning centres in communities throughout Trinidad and Tobago and immediate plans for expansion in areas such as Sangre Grande and Chaguanas. The College has become a major catalyst for new thinking in tertiary education and its relevance to workforce development, as COSTAATT's graduates are recognized by both public and private sector employers as work ready, knowledgeable and competent.
