Trinidad and Tobago Hospitality and Tourism Institute
In September 2011 the Trinidad and Tobago Hospitality and Tourism Institute (TTHTI) will celebrate its 15th year as the leader in hospitality and tourism education and training in Trinidad and Tobago. During this time, TTHTI achieved many successes to ensure the highest quality of instruction and delivery to its clients. TTHTI is registered with the Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago (ACTT) to deliver post secondary and tertiary level education and training. In addition, effective 17th March 2011, TTHTI became the first educational institution to become ISO 9001:2008 certified.
TTHTI's mission is "to develop for the hospitality and tourism industry, human resources capable of delivering quality products and services at international standards of excellence". This mission is pursued through the number of certificate, diploma, associate degree and bachelor degree programmes offered to our full time, part time and industry students. With the commitment to readily respond to the changes and demands of this vibrant industry, TTHTI will launch a Bachelor of Business Administration in Hospitality and Tourism in June of this year. This will be the second Bachelor Degree programme, as the Institute continues to expand its programme offerings to meet the needs of its stakeholders. Future Bachelor Degree programmes include Event Management and Food and Beverage Management.
TTHTI recognizes the global dynamics of the hospitality and tourism industry and its importance to the diversification of our national economy. A highly trained, qualified and professional workforce is critical, and TTHTI aims to ensure that the local industry is equipped with qualified professionals.
