The Eco-Industrial Development Company of Tobago (E-IDCOT) Ltd was established in 2009 as a limited liability company by the Tobago House of Assembly. E-IDCOT is a major instrument of Tobago's economic diversification initiatives as it promotes environmentally-sustainable production of goods and services on the island. With primary responsibility for developing, promoting and managing eco-industrial parks in Tobago, the company is currently completing the first of these, the Cove Eco-Industrial and Business Park located within the island's south-western peninsular on the Cove Estate in Lowlands, Tobago.

The move towards eco-industrialisation is complementary to the island's existing sustainable tourism thrust. On completion in 2011, the Cove Eco-Industrial and Business Park, the first and only one of its kind in the region will offer the local, regional and international business community, the most modern state-of-the-art infrastructure and business support services that are needed to boost investment, trade and international competitiveness.

Potential investors can also benefit from a comprehensive suite of fiscal incentives, competitive land and factory shell lease rental rates, clean on-site natural gas, low cost electrical energy and access to facilities in an export-processing zone, among other amenities. In keeping with its 'clean and green' objective, all tenants will be provided with guidance to facilitate compliance with the Park's environmental management systems.

Interested applicants for tenancy can visit the company's website as www.e-idcot.co.tt
