RioMed Limited is a company founded in 1997 that seeks to improve the efficiency, quality, and safety of healthcare delivery all over the world. Company’s  founder and Managing Director Mario Mohammed saw the need for advancements not only in healthcare technology but also in streamlining the management of various hospital processes. In accordance with its mantra- Working to improve healthcare, the company has made significant impacts on the healthcare sector, especially in Trinidad, over the last 25 years. RioMed is based in the UK but operates in both Trinidad and Tobago and India out of offices in St. Clair and the World Trade Centre in Pune respectively.

The implementation of one of our products, Cellma, allowed for the transition of paper-based sites to become electronic databases. Cellma is a healthcare system that can be easily configured to suit the needs of any organization. The available modules include Patient Administration and Scheduling (PAS), Electronic Patient Record (EPR), and Document Management to name just a few. It was first used in HACU to track the number of patients that were being tested and treated at the Medical Research Foundation (MRF) and has now expanded throughout the region.

From Cellma, came the birth of Cellmaflex which is an online appointment booking portal where patients can search and book appointments for doctors, dentists and available diagnostic services where they may request lab tests and imaging services. They also have access to their medical records which are stored in their unique patient portal. In addition, doctors benefit by having an appointment and scheduling system that is fully integrated with Outlook and Google Calendar. Easy to follow tutorials can be found on the RioMed Ltd. Riomed will continue to advance our products throughout the year not only as we transition from the use of Cellma 3 to Cellma 4 but also through the rollout of Cellmaflex across the region.
