Appointment of New General Manager

We are pleased to announce that Mr. Ian Rogers has been appointed as General Manager of The Power Generation Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (PowerGen) effective October 01, 2025.

Mr. Rogers is a well-respected senior leader in the UK power generation Industry, bringing 34 years of progressive experience to the role. Over the past two decades, he has held central corporate roles and more recently no less than seven (7) executive positions at multiple major generation facilities, with capacities of up to 2,000 MW. Including his recent position at Uniper where he served as Head of Asset Improvement.

He has a strong performance history in HSE, Reliability, Project Management, Managing Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), as well as experience with key functions such as power plant reconfiguration. Complementing his technical background, he possesses an enviable leadership track record in people and change management underpinned by sound commercial acumen and a consistent record of robust performance delivery.

Mr. Rogers holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) Degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Leeds, UK and several post graduate qualifications, including a Diploma in Management from the Open University, UK and a NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health.
