Guardian Group Invests More Than $60,000 to Help Students Start the School Year with Confidence

As students across Trinidad and Tobago prepare to return to the classroom, Guardian Group is continuing its commitment to removing barriers to education through its 2026 Back-to-School Programme, investing more than $60,000 to support students, schools and community organisations.
The Back-to-School programme provides practical support to help students begin the new academic year with the resources, confidence and dignity they need to participate fully in their education.
A key focus of this year’s programme is the expansion of Guardian Group’s Period Poverty Programme, which will see sanitary product dispensers installed and replenished throughout the academic year. The programme was introduced last year at Diego Martin North Secondary School, and will be expanded this year to include four additional schools: El Dorado East Secondary School, Aranguez North Secondary School, Chaguanas South Secondary School and the National Centre for Persons with Disabilities (NCPD).
Additionally, two long-standing community partners, the Hearts and Minds Foundation and the NCPD, received school-supply vouchers providing further support to help students prepare for the new school year.
Group Chief Operating Officer and President, Guardian Shared Services Limited, Greer Quan, said the investment reflects the Group’s belief that supporting education is an important part of creating a stronger future for the Caribbean.
“When we remove the barriers that stand between students and their education, we do more than prepare them for the first day of school. We help create the conditions for confidence, opportunity and success throughout the academic year.”
The 2026 Back-to-School Programme forms part of Guardian Group’s broader commitment to education, inclusion and community wellbeing. As the Group looks ahead to its 180th anniversary in 2027, the initiative reflects a continued focus on building a legacy that extends beyond its history to the future it helps to shape.
