PRATT Elects New Executive Committee for 2026 – 2028 Term

Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago – May 01, 2026 – The Public Relations Association of Trinidad and Tobago (PRATT) has elected a new Executive Committee to serve for the 2026–2028 term, following its Annual General Meeting held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.
The newly elected Executive brings together a dynamic mix of professionals with deep expertise across strategic communications, marketing, media relations, digital engagement, events and stakeholder management.
The 2026–2028 Executive Committee is as follows:
- President: Denise Caesar
- Vice President: Dionne Ligoure
- Secretary: Josephine Learmond-Criqui
- Treasurer: Cheryl-Ann Cummings
- Director, Digital Technology: Welette Chakumba
- Director, Membership: Marie Hull
- Director, Events & Conferences: Esther Burrowes
- Director, Professional Development: Joel Moniquette
In accepting the role, incoming President Denise Caesar said:
“PRATT stands on a strong foundation built over decades, and we honour that legacy. At the same time, we are stepping forward with intention, embracing innovation, strengthening professional standards and creating meaningful opportunities for our members to grow and lead. Our focus is clear: to elevate the profession in Trinidad and Tobago and position our practitioners to compete and collaborate on a regional and global stage.”
PRATT also expressed sincere appreciation to outgoing President La Shaun Ramdin and the outgoing Executive for their dedicated service and contribution to advancing the Association and the wider profession.
Reflecting on her tenure, La Shaun Ramdin noted: “It has been a privilege to serve alongside a committed team during a period of meaningful growth for PRATT. We focused on strengthening the Association’s voice, supporting our members and reinforcing the value of strategic communication. I am confident the incoming Executive will build on this momentum and take PRATT to even greater heights.”
The incoming Executive will prioritise strengthening member engagement, enhancing the visibility and credibility of the profession, and expanding professional development opportunities.
A key area of focus will also be deepening collaboration across industries, including marketing and events, to reflect the increasingly integrated nature of modern communications.
Founded in 1972, PRATT continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the communications profession in Trinidad and Tobago. The Association remains committed to promoting excellence, fostering collaboration and advocating for the strategic value of public relations within the business community and beyond.
As PRATT looks ahead, the new Executive is focused on building a resilient, future-ready Association, one that is rooted in Caribbean excellence while confidently engaging the opportunities of a rapidly changing global communications environment.
