Trinidad and Tobago Airports Authority Partners with U.S. Agencies to Combat Human Trafficking Through Blue Lightning Initiative

The Airports Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (“the authority”) formalized a partnership with the U.S. Departments of Homeland Security (DHS) and Transportation (DOT) through the Blue Lightning Initiative (BLI).

This landmark agreement aimed to combat human trafficking in the aviation sector by training personnel to identify and report suspected cases, enhancing safety and vigilance across the industry.

The Authority remained committed to working with all stakeholders to fulfill its mandate to provide safe and secure aviation services for the benefit of all airport users.
